Sandy and Rick were referred to me by their friend and longtime neighbor, Cathleen, who traveled with me several years ago.
Their dream trip to Italy was to visit Rome and Sicily (roots connection!) for the first time…and the first time abroad together!
After many months of conversations, emails, texts, and fine tuning their itinerary, that dream came true!

“For us Victoria was a great asset…We had not been to Italy. She was experienced and honest with her knowledge of Italy. She worked with us to find out what we wanted from our vacation. She planned our trip knowing that we did not want to be on a bus with 30+ tourists. She had the best connections and was always sending us information. She helped us stay on track.”
Despite understandable concerns considering the world politics, we proceeded, for almost a year, to plan their itinerary:
“We were a little concerned with the current world turmoil, but Victoria reassured us that she would be checking in on current events. Also she gave us information about what to look for while we were traveling.”
It is my practice to stay in touch and “check in” with clients almost daily throughout their trip as well as to communicate with my travel partners:
“The most valuable thing was Victoria was always behind the scenes making sure things were going well, checking in on us. It was so comforting.”
♦ Sandy and Rick started their Italy adventure in Roma!
Everything was a new experience for them and, as first timers, they loved being conveniently located and the excellent small group tours (Golf Cart Tour of the City, Roman Forum/Colosseum, and Sistine Chapel/Vatican/St. Peters) that we pre-booked.
And, along with other historical site suggestions, they enjoyed having time to explore and discover the history and charms of Roma!
♦ Day Tripping to the Amalfi Coast and a Tour of Pompeii!
Seeing Sorrento and Pompeii was on Sandy’s wish list. In order to accommodate and still stay within their time frame, I suggested and organized a day trip for them. It was along day but sooo rewarding! And, of course, they were in very good hands!
“Yes, we are glad we saw Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii. Our driver was so nice, he wanted us to enjoy the two towns…Our guide was so passionate about telling us about Pompeii The beauty of the coast stood out for us.”
♦ And then, Sicilia!
Their fabulous, custom curated itinerary was co-created and planned with my wonderful travel partners in Sicily. And to say that it was stellar is an understatement!

“We had great hotels, they were so helpful and accommodating…All were in great locations close to everything, we walked everywhere.”
“We had the best driver, they were always professional and accommodating. The guides again were full of history information and loved what they did. We loved learning about them.”
“We experienced so many different tours, they all were unique and amazing. A few of our favorites were Monreale Cathedral…the beautiful beach town of Cefalu and the Siracusa Food and Wine Tour with a tour of Neapolis Archaeological Park.”
♥ And the highlight? Roots! Rick meets his Sicilian relatives!
“Our guide…was so great – he took us to Rick’s grandparents towns, Bagheria and Ficarazzi. He helped us research information to find out where they lived and we actually found two second cousins and we got to meet them. It was so awesome for Rick to meet family.”
♦ Looking back (after the jet lag, laundry and re-entry…)
“We are glad we took time in planning, and having a travel planner, Victoria, to guide us in our choices. She helped us through all of the process.”
“We had an awesome trip seeing another side of the world in a place that is so rich with old old history. The beauty of another country with beautiful people, it makes you appreciate your own home.”

Wow! To say that it is wildly gratifying to have helped Rick and Sandy (and so many others) to plan and realize their dream trip is an understatement. Truly, it means everything to me and it is why I do what I do!
