Yes, single rooms are available but limited. All of the rooms are en-suite, i.e., they have their own bathrooms.

Do I need a passport/visa?
Yes, you will need a current passport for travel to Italy. Be sure it is valid for at least 6 months from your date of departure from Italy. No visas are required to visit Italy.

Who should I contact for more information?
Your hosts are:
U.S. – Victoria De Maio, postcardsfromvictoria(at)gmail(dot)com

How do I communicate with family/friends?

The accommodation in Lecce has telephones and free WiFi.
Masseria Provenzani has free WiFi (in public areas) and a computer for checking emails but no telephones.
In either case, be sure to check your data plan/make arrangements with your local cell phone provider before you leave..

What should I bring to wear?
In fall, the weather in Puglia should be temperate and comfortable. Bring comfortable clothing and layers. It’s crucial to have comfortable walking shoes. Look at the itinerary and pack accordingly.

Laundry service is available for a surcharge. There is a washer (no dryer) at the Masseria. (Clothes are hung dry in Italy.)

Should I bring cash and how much?
Italy uses the euro and although ATM’s are located at airports and towns, to avoid wasting precious time, I suggest that you do bring some euros with you upon arrival for gratuities, souvenirs, incidentals, etc. I recommend that you bring (at least) 300 EUR in small bills and change.

I would like more information about cooking classes. A small group of us would like to participate in cooking classes. We have been to the organic Tuscany Farm and loved our visit. Any detailed information would be appreciated.
    Ciao,
    Gloria Borreca

    • Ciao, Gloria!
Grazie for your inquiry….I would love to share more information about the delicious cooking classes we enjoy in Puglia! You are probably familiar with cucina povera if you’ve been to Tuscany – the simple, delicious style based on fresh, local, organic ingredients and traditional regional recipes. We enjoy learning about, cooking and dining on this fabulous fare (with local wines, of course).
The 10 day experience includes several classes as well as dining at the Masseria and in local family-run trattorie (and a wonderful day visiting local markets and vendors).
I would be happy to send you several links to the pages which give more details about our time in Puglia. Here is the Highlight page (click here). Here is one of the posts about cooking together :D. (click here)
If you send me your email, I would be more than happy to “discuss” details – I’m also available by phone..
Let me know how I can assist you and your friends!
      Buona giornata!
      Victoria

  2. I’m afraid this year isn’t possible, but, do you have any tours planned yet for next fall?

  3. Victoria,
Late May might be a possibility. May 29 is my anniversary date at work, so that is when I get a new set of vacation days (15). Sometimes I have a few days leftover from the year before. This is one reason I always travel in the Fall, I always have days at that time. I too would love to do one of your tours, you know I do. :-) I’ll keep watching for your announcement. Thanks!!!
    Rae

I'd Love to Hear From You!
