Travel TidBitZ: Thank YOU for Sharing! Really!

Today’s Travel TidBitZ:

Thank YOU for Sharing! Really!

Have you ever given advice and wondered if anyone followed it? I have!

Thank you for joining me this morning!  Tidbit is defined as a morsel, snack, bite, treat, a small taste of something…a tiny little bit of information revealed…

Thank YOU for Sharing! Really!

I love to share! Always have! As a Travel Consultant, Blogger and Writer I give advice, tips, help, input… I’m also a Yoga Instructor and I teach and coach. In past lives I was a school teacher, an account executive…always advising and sharing…but I can’t help but wonder sometimes, does anyone really listen, much less, follow all these words of wisdom? Well, one can only hope and keep sharing…really!

A recent email from an acquaintance inspired me to write this TidBitZ. Learning that he and his girlfriend were going to Italy for the first time, I encouraged him to take a look at my blog…and he actually did! Upon returning home, I wanted to hear about their trip and this is the email I received from Ron:

Hi Victoria,

Hope you’re well.  We had a fabulous trip to Italy and I just had to write because I had a funny experience.

I had the opportunity to read your blog and your website before going.  As you know packing for two weeks can be challenging.  So I read in your blog something that you should be able to sprint a half mile with your bag. Because of that, my girlfriend and I actually pared down the amount of stuff we took.

We are on our way back to the US and we have to transfer through Paris.  Our flight was a little late getting in, and then we had to deal with the border passport check and a shuttle to our flight.  By the time that was done, we had 5 minutes to get to our flight when we entered the terminal and the gate was #29…we were at #1.  So here we are running full speed through the terminal with our bags in tow.  We were the last to board our flight, and when we sat down my girlfriend and I looked at each other and almost at the same time said “she was right”….

Funny that all the stuff I read prior to going to Italy — which was a lot.  Not one of them said something so simple that made such a big difference.

Thanks for that!

All the best,

Well, thank you, Ron, and thank you to all of you who read, comment, and share my blog. I know you’re out there but when I do receive feedback and comments, I have to say I’m thrilled. To really know that you helped someone have a richer and more fulfilling experience is so rewarding.

Am I phishing for comments…yeah, kinda…I know you’re busy, but I do love to hear from you.

So, thank YOU for sharing! Really!

And, naturally, I’m sharing again, too:travel tidbitz
